A member asked:

Say a lesbian couple uses a sperm donor with hpv. does that mean the hpv will not be spread?

Not a risk: HPV is transmitted surface to surface during sexual activity while the infected party is shedding the virus. It is not a particular risk in this setting. Neither the inseminated person or the baby would be at risk from a sperm sample derived from a donor center. If it were "donated" during a sexual encounter, it would be a risk to the recipient.
