I know anxiety can cause muscle pain, but can it cause joint pain as well?

No: 24 yo asks if "anxiety" causes "joint pain". Anxiety originates in the mind & reflects psychologic effects of mental processes. Joint pain originates in soft tissue pain transducers within tendons & ligaments surrounding joints. Persons w. greater anxiety intensity might subjectively experience & report "greater" joint pain; whether they do is an unmeasurable & unprovable theoretical speculation.
