Depends: The amount of side effects you should expect will depend greatly on the amount of bone marrow suppression and gastrointestinal toxicity you experience. This will depend on what the prescribing doctor is trying to achieve. If you are on it for leukemia the side effects may be different than if you are on it chronically for Crohn's.
