Possible cyst: Every woman will have a cyst of about 2 cm diameter at the time of ovulation. After ovulation that cyst may enlarge to the size of a softball and still be perfectly normal. Some women will have pain, cramps, or pressure as a result of that cyst. If you have severe pain then see your doctor, it the pain is tolerable (you can take OTC pain meds to help) and resolves on its own then no worry.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation. Some women have pain each month during ovulation
