Perhaps: Mirena (levonorgestrel) is a most excellent way to control bleeding. Withdrawal is a possible outcome, but I strongly suggest you have it re-inserted. Regardless of what you perceive to be shortcomings, it is singularly the safest most effective birth control and bleeding control method available.
