GERD: this could be from acid reflux, or an ulcer. try to elevate head of the bed, avoid food that worsen your symptoms. you can also try over the counter zantac (ranitidine) twice daily and see if it helps. if you have weight loss, blood in the stool or black stool you should let your doctor know.
