I've grown impatient waiting for my std/hiv test results to come in from my doctor's. is it unhealthy to go get another test done that guarantees quick, same-appointment, results? i tested last wed.

Be careful!: "Unhelthy"? Maybe for your wallet; it could be expensive. Also, there are no accurate rapid tests for some STDs, and others may be less reliable than lab-based tests. You would be wise to just relax and wait for the results of the tests already in the works.
