No : Both petogen and Depo provera have medroxyprogesterone acetate as the active ingredient in the same dosage and some of the same preservatives. Both provide 3 months of contraception and both have the same risks/ side-effects. Hope this helps.

Same: Depo provera and petogen are the same medication, 150 mg of medroxyprogesterone acetate injected every 3 months.
