Endoscopy: Hyperplastic polyps are benign growths that can be found anywhere in the GI tract and are not necessarily related or associated with Crohn's disease . However, Crohn's dis and ulcerative colitis are often associated with "pseudopolyps" (false polyps: overgrown healthw part of intestinal lining next to an ulcerated part). Endoscopic exam can idetify both.
