Usually not: The ER (emergency room) is for emergencies. Thyroid disorders are seen and treated by primary doctors and endocrinologists in their office settings. Rarely is a thyroid disorder an emergency. Even if blood tests drawn in an ER included thyroid tests, the follow-up and treatment would be by primary doctors or endocrinologists.
