Mittleschmertz: Mittleschmertz ( middle pain) is mid-cycle pain that happens with ovulation. Some women experience this every month. Some never experience it. Some notice it when they ovulate on one side but not the other and it can occur just randomly once or a few times. It is very unlikely that this had any thing to do with having sex.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.
