Merits an evaluation: If you mean you are losing consciousness, it's an urgent problem which merits an immediate visit to your doctor or to an emergency department. Most common causes include very low blood pressure especially with standing, cardiac rhythm disturbances (very slow heart rate, pauses in ones heart rhythm or very fast heartbeats), and epileptic seizures. Proper diagnosis is usually straightforward.
