Just irritation: I consider Vick's somewhat worthless in early childhood but find it is often used. The stinky nature of the product makes it more irritating to sensitive skin surfaces like the eyelids. Wash it off and flood the eyes with a simple eye wash or artificial tears and it should be fine.It may cause the skin to remain irritated for days.
