Spotting: This may be you period just starting out very spotty and light. This is a normal occurrence. If you are concerned I suggest you check a pregnancy test in about 1 week

MENSTRUAL BLEEDING: IF YOU HAVE BEEN USING CONDOMS, THIS WILL BE YOUR PERIOD. Sometimes cycles start with a few days of the brown gooey blood before the bleeding starts. This happens more frequently as you get older. It has to do with hormonal control of the endometrial lining. If you haven't used contraception, check a pregnancy test.
