Well......: In some Caribbean countries Bokors (Vodou priests) used tetrodotoxin on individuals which caused neurological changes that led to Zombie -like behaviors. Some synthetic cannabinoids & synthetic cathinones may also induce zombification. This does NOT mean that there were true reanimated corpses (zombies) in the Caribbean in the 1800's. Prion Dz's are sometimes called Zombie diseases.
