A member asked:

Does subchondral cysts in the shoulder go away on its own & how did they get there ?

Varies: A subchondral cyst is usually a process that occurs near an inflamed or severely arthritic joint. An erosion occurs through the cartilage into the adjacent bone, thus creating the cyst. Although it varies somewhat, they usually do not spontaneously resolve unless the underlying process that caused them is addressed. Thank you for the question.
