Many: Opticians take the eyeglass prescription and order or make a corrective lens using those numbers. Then the glass is ground to fit the frame you select and adjust to fit your head. The tools include template grinders, lens grinders, tools to adjust the temple pieces and nose pieces and devices to provide proper coatings for the lenses.
