Bizarre idea: The belly button is a remnant of the site where the umbilical cord crossed into the fetal abdomen and brought nutrition from the placenta. It is required for any fetus, regardless of sex, and exists long before a fetal mouth or other parts form. You need a basic course in biology to understand the real process.
