Benzoyl peroxide: Proactiv is 2 1/2% benzoyl peroxide. I buy large tubes of 5% for $2 to show my patients. While it can help acne, it is best for people with tough, greasy skin because it is very drying. You can stop it. You can use short contact, washing off after 1/2 hour. You can use a moisturizer. Best result is to see a dermatologist.
