Fiber/fluids: More than likely, given your age, you suffer from chronic constipation or irritable bowel syndrome-constipation predominant. I would start by increasing your daily fiber intake to 30 grams per day ( ie fiber one cereal) and drink 2 l of non-caffeinated beverage daily. A visit to a gastroenterologist for an evaluation is warranted if that doesn't do the trick.
