Nobody really knows: Nobody's proved that having the antibody on board even means you've met the virus, since there's no gold standard for this. What we do know is that it's no reason to assume you're infectious or in need of treatment or need to get all upset. So far as I can tell, this applies both to herpes I, which almost everybody has met, and herpes II, which is the sexually transmitted disease.
