I had an u/s on 1/15/15. my lmp was 11/22/14. ovulation pain between 12/2-12/5/14. i measured 5wk 6dy, not 8 wks. is this the gestational age?

Yes: All dates we use and ultrasounds use are gestational age. Since you were 5w 6d on 1/15, that means conception was December 19. That wasn't really ovulation pain on December 2-5.

1 week: Ultrasounds are considered accurate within 1 week in the first trimester. Lots of variables here. How long are your periods, how long do they last, as compared to when you had intercourse. Also, this pregnancy could have had an issue implanting. Your doc will recheck for heart tones soon
