Possibly: Severe anemia can lead to decreased blood flow to the lungs and the heart, leading to shortness of breath and/or chest pain, however, there are many causes of shortness of breath and chest pain. Please ave these problems evaluated by a health care professional.

It can.: It could also have to do with heart problems, asthma, viral infections, pneumonia, bronchitis, panic attacks, or many other problems. The only way to know the difference is to see a doctor for evaluation.

Anemia: Yes! severe anemia can cause shortness of breath. That's because the number of red cell carrying oxygen are less.
