Depends: Hypertension a common cause, but inflammation / mass not impossible--depending on why you are getting fundoscopic exam. Discuss w/your dr so do not worry needlessly.

Few things: Could be just a normal variant or from high blood pressure (most likely especially if its in both eyes). Alternatively, if there is an abnormal connection between the arteries and veins or an impending blockage of a vein, that can also cause it. These are unlikely causes though.
