Unknown: The 5% is only slightly better than 2%. I have not seen any valid test of higher strengths. Therefore you are at the mercy of the hucksters. Oral Finasteride is more effective than minoxidil. Some men use both. 1mg Finasteride costs much more than 5mg, so you can get prescription 5mg, use a pill cutter to make 4 daily doses. It also reduces prostate disease. But many men look great with shaved sca.
