A member asked:

My dad is feeling pain in rib cage area, following test r done, sodium, ck-t, creatinine, potasm, troponine i, all normal but ck-mb is 5, wht it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal trponin no MI: Ckmb is not a very sensitive test and can be false positive due to many factors, and troponin is more sensitive test and if it is normal means there is strong probability that the pain is not related to heart attack or acute coronary syndrome.
