Does dhea supplementation help with sports performance?

3 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

No: Dhea is metabolized to cortisone, estrogen and testosterone -- and you can't control which one is goes to. There is noo medical or sports performance indication to take it in the first place, and most of the dhea supplements have little dhea in them. Don't get your medical advice from tv or the internet! it won't help and could harm you.

No: There is no clinical evidence that dhea supplements improve muscle strength or performance.
