Fever + rash: Measles will start with 3 or 4 days of red eyes, cough, runny nose and high fever. The rash will then develop, which is a pronounced blotchy red rash starting on the face and spreading downward over the entire body in about 3 days. You will also note white specks on the lining of the mouth (koplik's spots). The rash usually lasts about 7 days.
