Hormones: Skin care does little to impact acne one way or the other. Some medications precipitate it, but usually it's "just you". If you're a young person, there's no mystery. For others, there's little understanding it. If you're taking bromide, iodide or lithium, your acne is likely to flare. Otherwise, don't trouble yourself with "why"; acne's easy to manage nowadays if it bothers you.

Skin care & acne: Sometimes, no matter how well you take of your skin you can still get breakouts. The skin is an organ. Sometimes hidden internal problems will leave clues to their identity on the surface of the skin. There could be something else going on, maybe a hormonal issue, that would occur no matter what you do. It is best to see your doc to make sure that you are dealing with regular.
