What is the difference between your hymen breaking off and your cycle?

Loss of virginity: Hymen rupture usually caused by vaginal penetration & somtimes from trauma, horseback riding or tampon insertion. Bleeding, usually minor occurs at time of hymen tearing, is mild, localised to vaginal opening, usually occurs only once & blood is bright red. Menstrual cyle bleeding recurs monthly, blood flow usually more copious & dark red in color & pain is higher up in pelis or low abdomen.
