A member asked:

What is the life expectancy for those who went through coronary artery bypass surgery?

2 doctors weighed in across 3 answers

CABG: The life expectancy has to do with their general status as well as their cardiac disease. In general if well treated people do very well post cabg. On the other hand if they have severe cardiac damage, ef <10% and active ventricular arrhythmias, their life expectancy is not good.
