What kind of sunglasses provide the best protection for lighter colored eyes?

Polarized UV block: I generally recommend that the glasses block uva and uvb. Most good quality glasses do and they often say so on the lens. In addition, consider polarized lenses which are good at blocking glare off of surfaces such as the road or the car in front of you and also from water when you are on a boat or fishing.

Uv protection: Most colored lenses from optical shops have more than adequate uv protection and some over the counter glasses do also. That is all you need to protect your lighter colored eyes.
