Ibuprofen may help: Ibuprofen, which is a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory medication (also called advil (ibuprofen) or motrin) can certainly help with period cramps. It is generally safe to take up 600mg every 8 hours as needed. As long as you are not allergic, are pregnant, or have kidney problems, it is generally safe (check the label too!).
