Can be normal: Since you have just started birth control pills that is going to change how your periods are. Most people find their periods to be lighter and less painful on birth control pills. However in the first cycle or two there is more chance of having break through bleeding - bleeding when you shouldn't be. You can see what happens over the next few weeks.
