Yes: Brown discharge is really clotted blood. When women have mild bleeding or spotting it can coagulate and become brown. As spotting is not uncommon while on oral contraceptive pills then, the answer is yes. But, bleeding can be do to other reasons. So if you have any other symptoms then seek medical attention. If brown discharge goes away then don't worry.
