Discuss with MD\DDS: Speak to your physician who is treating you to manage your symptoms. From a dental standpoint, you should do several things. First, be aware that reduced salivary flow, you are more prone to cavities and gum problems. Keep your teeth as clean as possible, and see your dentist every 3 months. Ask about Fluoride treatments and the line of biotene products to help keep your mouth moist.

Not That I'm Aware : Palliative care is all i'm aware of here. Try ice chips, google it. Also, biotene, oasis, and frequent hydration. Those will all reduce symptoms and help manage the xerostomia. Also available is Pilocarpine and cevimeline, both are rx only by your dentist. Lastly, chew xylitol-typ gums often to keep mouth moist and cavities/burning tongue to a minimum. Good luck, i wish there was more.
