Anemia and periods: You should see a gyn to see if your periods are the cause for your anemia. If you menstruate heavily for several days, pass clots and have a diet low in iron rich foods, that could be the cause of your anemia. There are other causes, not related to your periods, that need to be considered such as loss of blood from you GI tract. If your gyn cannot help you, see a hematologist or GI specialist.
