Relax - It's ok!: Children at 6 months vary widely on how many solids they eat. Some eat lots of baby food, some eat little and it's all normal. Pediatricians now know that babies do not need to start solids at 6 months, and there will be no harm to the child. Keep trying. Be sure to offer different choices. Your kiddo will come around and start eating solids again soon.

Several options: There is nothing wrong with preparing your own food. But extra acidity, fats etc are not necessary. Also waiting a few more months for dairy is still recommended. Remember that if you are patient and the baby is really hungry, he will tend to eat. Also some babies when teething have this happen. But this phase does pass.
