It's complicated: Some spotting mid cycle at the time of ovulation is not u usual, also being on a low-dose contraceptive pill can cause this.
As far as the "throbbing, inflamed uterus"-are you sure it is your uterus? If so it could be an std, or another organ system entirely such as your colon , bladder, or musculoskeletal pain. Please see a doctor.
