Dysgeusia or: Altered taste sensation may be from tooth decay, gingivitis, sinus condition. Suggest seeing dentist &/or ENT specialist for thorough exam. None of the meds u take specifically mention altered taste as side effect. Zinc deficiency can be associated with dysgeusia. Zinc lozenges r available otc for helping prevent colds.

See MD/Dentist: First make sure your md has cleared you of any general health issues that can cause the tastes you are experiencing. The meds you are still taking may be causing this but you should check with your md before going off them to be safe. Once you're cleared medically see a dentist to make sure that you have no failing restorations or gum infection. Sometimes a leaking metal filling can taste metallic.

Many possibilites: There are both dental and medical possibilities. In addition to the ones already mentioned by my colleagues, some people have extraordinary senses, and you may be one of them. What would go unnoticed by most individuals may be irritating to you. An acidic mouth in the presence of a relatively new amalgam filling is even possible. Have it checked out by both a dentist & physician.
