Disclaimer

me and husband have had trouble trying to conceive, he is an avid marijuana user. does this affect our chances? can it be reversed? any advice?

Possibly: Any smoker, you or him, could affect your chances. Likewise, it is unknown if marijuana is worse than tobacco. Your best bet is to avoid it. Generally, deleterious effects of such things diminish with time, so stopping soon is best.
