Likely nothing: If you have symptoms, see a thoracic surgeon/ and r pulmonologist, more to be sure something else is not an issue. In children with specific signs symptoms some will, be repaired, but not in adults. Some plastic surgeons will hide the pectus, but that is not a repair.

Discussion: Most pectus excavatum patients lead totally normal lives, and repair is done for cosmetic or psychological reasons. If there are symptoms related to the pectus, repair is indicated.
