Lump in testicle: The most common sign of testicle cancer is a lump or mass in the testicle found by self-exam or exam by a medical provider. Occasionally, testis cancer is associated with hydrocele (fluid around testicle) and usually painless or result in discomfort. Advance testis cancer may result in more body symptoms like weight loss, abdominal/back pain or mass.

Lump/pain: Testicular cancer is most common in young males, age 20-40, and they often present with testicular pain or a palpable lump. As such, males this age should be doing monthly self exams by feeling the testes. If you are unclear as to how to do this, ask your doctor. The best imaging for the testes is ultrasound, a painless, radiation free modality.
