Contact GYN: If you have new symptoms, fever, pain contact gynecologist for evaluation. Retained products of conception can be the cause of your bleeding. Do not delay.

Miscarriage; RPOC: If all the products of conception are not passed, the retained tissues (fetus, membranes, placenta) can lead to significant prolonged bleeding, pelvic pain, fever, even infection. Procedure called either erpc or a D&C (dilation & curettage) removes any residual tissue to restore normal menstrual cycles, eliminate pain, & prevent infection.
