Miscarriage; RPOC: If all the products of conception are not passed, the retained tissues (fetus, membranes, placenta) can lead to significant prolonged bleeding, pelvic pain, fever, even infection. Procedure called either erpc or a D&C (dilation & curettage) removes any residual tissue to restore normal menstrual cycles, eliminate pain, & prevent infection. Gyn can explain procedure in more detail.
