My mom has arthritis and her joints are in pain. however, lately she has been feeling tingly and numbing sensation on her fingertips what can it be?

Probably CT syndrome: There are several possibilities. Two are the most likely are carpal tunnels syndromes or nerve root compression in the cervical spine. A rheumatologist or neurologist should be able to define the problem.

Hard to say: There are many possible causes, but probably the most common are carpal tunnel syndrome (which is a pinching of the median nerve at the wrist), a pinched nerve in the neck, or a neuropathy. Usually a detailed exam and possibly a nerve conduction test can tell what the diagnosis is and what her options are. Thank you for the question.
