Scrotum: Probably not anything serious. Some testes are hyper mobile and will pull up into into the inguinal region. I would recommend an exam by a urologist in regard to the size discrepancy. (is one unusually large or is one unusually small?).

Maybe Normal: One testicle is often slightly smaller than the other, the same as one breast on women may be slightly smaller or one foot smaller than the other. When it disappears, it may just be pulled up into the inguinal canal. It usually can still be felt in the canal and coaxed back down into the scrotum. If there is a significant difference in size or change in size, definitely have it checked.
