I have sle. i've been experiencing swelling throughout my body; my legs, hands and private area. is that from sle? if not what could be causing it?

SLE: You really should see your rheumatologist asap since this could be a flare of your lupus or something more serious. If you have not had this type of reaction previously, then it might be a separate entity outside the scope of your lupus. Be smart, please call and see your doctor.

Fluid retention?: If on steroids such as prednisone, you will experience fluid retention. The only other global cause would be significant renal involvement. You certainly would have been checked for that.
