It can: Thorazine (chlorpromazine) can cause sedation as well as movement problems -- some of which can become permanent. Doctors monitor patients on such medications and reduce doses to the smallest effective, to avoid such long-term results. Also certain medications can ameliorate some of these problems, at least acutely. Using alternative antipsychotics @ lowest possible effective dose may be even better solution.
