No, usually not: Hpv will affect your cervix, but should not affect your baby. It may be possible that a baby can swallow hpv on his or her way out, through the cervix and vagina . . . So ask your ob-gyn doctor if this possibility is anything to worry about in your situation.

Maybe: The wart strains can pass quietly to a newborn delivered vaginally and show up within a year or two as genital or vocal cord warts. Some women elect a scheduled c-section if they have active genital warts at delivery.It is uncommon but reported. The non-wart strains are not known to cause any problems for an offspring.
