Check a test : It sounds more like you just had an episode of midcycle spotting. Brown is usually old blood. Anyone having sex without birth control or condoms is at risk of getting pregnant. The only way to know will be to check a test. If you miss your period then take one and you will have your answer. If negative schedule a visit for birth control.
